Eilmah began with a simple ache, felt by thousands of women in our community: I read the Qur'an — but I want to understand it. Not academically. Personally. This store is our answer.
The books.
The Tadabbur Collection is five standalone illustrated volumes — Tawhid, Akhlaq, Akhirah, Sabr and Mawaddah — that together walk through all 114 surahs of the Qur'an, each reflected on through the same gentle 8-step method: background, summary, key themes, deep explanation, lessons, modern applications, an activity, and space for your own reflection. A sixth book, Beyond Recitation, is the companion that teaches the method itself — how to sit with the Qur'an, not just move through it.
None of it is a translation, and none of it is a tafsir. The books are companions — meant to be read alongside the Qur'an, never instead of it.
The community.
Eilmah is the bookstore of @women.in.deen, a community of ~37,000 readers learning their deen together. More than 2,000 books have found their way to readers in over 25 countries — teenagers and grandmothers, parents reading with children, reverts starting fresh, lifelong reciters slowing down for the first time.
How we work.
We are a small, independent team in Bengaluru, India. The books are written and illustrated here; every order is packed by hand, photographed before it ships, and sent tracked to your door — across India and to more than 50 countries. The people who make the books are the people who answer your messages.
